Valentine's Day at the Firestation....

So one of the perks of Taylor's job is that we get to go and visit him often. Sometimes it hard because he works on Holidays. Luckily the guys are so family oriented they enjoy having their families or others stop by. So every Holiday I try to make a special trip out there. I love seeing the guys and they are just so excited to see Lilly and all the new things they are doing.  So this year has been pretty special one of our very best friends (the Peterson's) Matt has joined station 12. This is HUGE for Taylor but even better for me. I get to not only go see my husband, but one of my favorite people Callie gets to make the trip out there with me. It is so wonderful to have a couple to share this life with that gets you. Being the wife of a fire fighter may seem easy, but it has its challenges. Being away from your husband for 48 hours can be really rough and having someone who understands, is one the same shift, and you love so very much is rare. Both Taylor and I feel so very blessed to have the two of them in our lives. Needless to say, yesterday Callie and I planned a special little trip out to the station.

It started with some beautiful heart shaped pizza's to take to the guys for Valentine's Day!

Then Callie and I made and decorated some little cupcakes to take to the guys.

As you can see Callie did an amazing job!

The boys were so excited, they said they would make us dinner, well since all they had to do was put the pizza's in the oven they made a delicious salad to go along with it. So thoughtful :)

Then we ended our night hanging out in the recliners, talking and laughing watching Lilly walk around the station like she owns it. Well she has been going there since she was in my belly, and all the guys love her so much, so I guess that place will always be special to her in some way!
Thanks Cal for a great night, and thanks for being a wonderful friend! It was great sharing Valentine's day with you and our hubby's!
